That's exactly the point. *NO ONE* is profitting from this, including the
people who should. What happens when software is distributed behind the back
of the owner/developer/copywriter? Developers stop developing, distributors
stop distributing, and the community at large suffers.
Sure, perhaps M$ sales is not bothered much by the pirating that is inflicted on their software, but we're not that big, and we can be killed by it.
